Chakra Stud Earrings

Sterling silver and lapis lazuli stud earrings

These tiny studs were inspired by the third eye chakra, one of the chakras in buddhist teachings. As a yoga practitioner, I wanted to bring some of my practice into my jewellery.

The third eye chakra, or ‘ajna chakra’ in Sanskrit, is known as ‘the seat of intuition’. Located in the centre of the forehead, it acts as the individual’s centre of wisdom, conscience and higher consciousness.

Lapis lazuli is a stone associated with inner peace, and so was perfect to form the focus of these earrings. However you may wish to replace this stone with another stone of your choice – perhaps a birth stone or one that has some meaning for you.
